Austin City Employee Charged With Stealing Gas

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Ray Wilmot, an Austin city employee has been charged with allegedly stealing more than $4,000 worth of gas from the City of Austin, according to KVUE News. Wilmot is charged with theft by a public servant.Wilmot confessed that while putting gas in his city vehicle, he also pumped gas into give-gallon containers, according to KVUE News. In the last year, Wilmot is alleged to have made off with more than 2,000 gallons of stolen gasoline.
