TRENTON, NJ – N.J. Gov. Jon Corzine is planning to sell more than 600 state vehicles in an effort to save $2.5 billion, according to the Gloucester County Times newspaper. Corzine plans to auction off 614 of the 6,145 vehicles within the Treasury Department’s Central Motor Pool. The state owns 10,538 passenger cars in total. The number proposed for auction exempts State Police trooper cars and Division of Youth and Family Services vehicles.
