Indianapolis Airport to Use New Buses to Aid Passenger Convenience

February 14, 2006

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis International Airport has acquired Easy On shuttles from Glaval Bus, which feature the low-floor chassis design for mid-sized buses from Workhorse Custom Chassis. Six 26-foot-long, 17-passenger models of the Easy On will transport customers between different parking areas and the terminal. The buses have no steps — only an unimpeded low-floor from front to back accessed by a ramp that allows easy wheel-on access for those with luggage, as well as for those in wheelchairs. The extra-wide interior features extra luggage racks and two stations for wheelchairs. The platform’s drivetrain uses the Duramax 6.6L diesel engine coupled to an Allison 1000 Series transmission.
