TUCSON, AZ — William (Dan) Daniel Anderson, retired director of fleet management for Pima County, Arizona, passed away at home in Tucson on Nov. 23, 2005, from cancer. He was 60. Anderson is survived by Iva, his wife of 36 years, and four children, Elaine, Daniel, William, and Elizabeth. Anderson was born on July 29, 1945, in Tucson. Anderson was a Vietnam War veteran, serving from 1967-1969. He recently retired from Pima County after 30 years of service. Anderson worked his way from an administrative aide to his most recent position as the director of Automotive Services. He also served on the board of directors for Rocky Mountain Fleet Manager Association (RMFMA) from 1993-1998. In 2005, Anderson was honored with a lifetime achievement award by the RMFMA and made a lifetime member of the association.
