EAGLE COUNTY, CO — In April 2006, Eagle County, Colorado, will introduce B-20 biodiesel fuel (20 percent biodiesel blended with 80 percent standard No. 2 diesel) to its motor pool fleet, according to the Vail Daily newspaper. Any new vehicles the county buys will be powered by biodiesel. The county will also introduce two hybrids into its fleet in 2006 to research areas where they might work. Employees form departments such as administration, health and human services, environmental health, and information technology might drive the hybrids.
