CONCORD, NH – The Granite State Clean Cities Coalition and New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services have requested proposals for biodiesel projects. Two types of proposals will be considered. In the first category, grants will be awarded to cover the incremental fuel cost of 20 percent or greater biodiesel/diesel blends. The second category will fund a single project to demonstrate on-site production of American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) quality biodiesel from local sources such as waste grease. All grants are limited to a maximum of $2,499. All funds must be expended by December 31, 2005. The following dates apply to this request for proposals:

  • June 28 – Notice of intent to apply requested
  • June 29– Informational meeting at New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services if requested by any prospective applicant
  • July 5 – Proposals due at New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services
  • July 21– Notification of selection
