BETHLEHEM, PA – A city council panel in Bethlehem, Pa., has urged all city workers to use their work vehicles less to save gas, according to the Express-Times. Charlie Brown, parks and public property director, issued a memo telling workers to shut off engines when stopped to conserve gasoline. According to the city administration, the gasoline budget was overdrawn for the first quarter. Due to high gas prices, Committee member Gordon Mowrer said the city needs to examine its vehicle-use policy.
