CHANDLER, AZ – The city of Chandler is telling its employees not to talk on cell phones while they are driving a city vehicle, according to the Associated Press. Not abiding by the policy could cost employees their job. The policy exempts police officers, but encourages them not to talk and drive. Claims against the city for accidents caused by employees on cell phones spurred the change. Arizona commercial vehicle regulations prohibit school bus drivers from using cell phones.
