MACCLENNY, FL – A new vehicle policy restricting the use of county cars and trucks to department heads was presented by MacClenny County Manager Jason Griffis. Use of the vehicles will be permitted during weekends and after hours for the purpose of county business.
Another vehicle policy document was drawn up by County Attorney Terry Brown. A penalty for violating the new rules will be a key component of the policy. In Brown's draft, penalties could include suspension, dismissal from office or employment, and reimbursement to the county for unauthorized purchases.
