TORRANCE, CA – Government Fleet magazine, along with Automotive Resources International and Fleet Counselor Services, Inc., has announced that it is now accepting nominations for its first-annual Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year award. Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year nominees will be required to complete a short questionnaire consisting of 10 categories, each with three questions. The questionnaire is based on fleet certification standards developed by Fleet Counselor Services, Inc. (see article in the Jan./Feb. 2005 issue of GF), and will serve as a prequalification process for an independent panel of fleet professionals appointed by Government Fleet magazine, who will be charged with qualifying and ranking each nominee to determine the Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year.
The Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year questionnaire ask three “yes” or “no” questions relating to each of the following fleet management categories:
Business Plan
Computer Systems and Technology
Staffing and Productivity
Policies and Procedures
PM Program
Utilization Management
Replacement Program
Customer Service and Downtime
Parts Inventory Management
Fuel Management Program
