SPOKANE, WA -- The city of Spokane struck a five-year agreement to sell Spokane on the side of trucks, according to KXLY TV. The city and the Spokane Convention and Visitors Bureau recently unveiled the new design that will be featured on semi-trucks traveling in-state and across the nation. The design itself was donated, as was the space on the side of the trucks. The poster wrapping cost $10,000, but Spokane Mayor Jim West says it is worth the investment to promote the city and events such as Hoopfest and Bloomsday. Organizers hope to eventually have 15 to 20 trucks on the roads promoting Spokane.
