BOYNTON BEACH, FL - Mario Guzman, CAFM, has been named fleet administrator for the City of Boynton Beach, Fla., under the direction of Christine Roberts, assistant public works director.

In his new role with the City of Boynton Beach, Guzman will be handling many of the responsibilities he did for the county, but on a broader scale, including city police, fire rescue, and solid waste. Guzman has 16 ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications.
For the past 13 years, Guzman worked for Palm Beach County's Fleet Management Division where his responsibilities included the procurement of county assets, monitoring commodity contracts, remarketing of vehicles, and managing a repair facility.

Prior to working for Palm Beach County, Guzman briefly worked for Florida’s Department of Transportation (FDOT) as a fleet technician.

He left FDOT to become an automotive technician II for Palm Beach County. He worked as a technician for 6 years and was later promoted to equipment analyst. During this period, he also attained his bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University in public administration.
