COLUMBUS, OHIO - The City of Columbus received three separate awards from Clean Fuels Ohio for the City's fleet-greening efforts, according to Kelly Reagan, fleet administrator for the City. The awards ceremony took place Sept. 19.
Three different City divisions were designated as green fleets -- Sewers and Drains, Transportation, and Refuse. The fleets in these divisions were recognized for reducing carbon footprints, implementing alternative fuels, and using technology-driven methods to reduce overall carbon footprint, Reagan said.
Fleet submitted these various divisions for awards to get buy-in and recognition for everyone who committed capital dollars to the projects, Reagan added.
