The Round Rock police department's new patrol car look will only apply to  future vehicles and 15 recently purchased models.

ROUND ROCK, TEXAS – The City of Round Rock's police department announced its patrol car fleet is beginning to undergo its first restyling in 12 years, according to a news release from the City.

The City said the redesigned look will begin with patrol vehicles it purchased most recently, a dozen 2011-MY Ford Interceptors and three Chevrolet Tahoes, and will be used on future fleet vehicles. Other existing vehicles in Round Rock PD’s fleet will not have the new look. The City's patrol fleet consists of 153 vehicles.

According to a spokesman from the Round Rock police department, the department hasn’t decided which future police vehicles it plans to purchase. The first of the new patrol cars has been deployed with the department.
