The City of Somerset (Ky.) Council has passed a resolution allowing Enterprise Fleet Management to manage and maintain its non-emergency fleet. The resolution calls for Enterprise to purchase 25 vehicles on the city's behalf, remarket its surplus vehicles, and maintain all of the city’s vehicles for one year, the Commonwealth Journal reported.

City councilors expect to reduce the fleet maintenance budget from $334,000 this year to $158,000 by 2020. City officials also said this would improve operations because drivers currently use the dealership and the Street Department for repairs, making it difficult to track costs.
