The Los Angeles International Airport will purchase 150 Ford vehicles for its police division over the next three years to replace its aging fleet.

The Los Angeles Board of Airport commissioners during a Sept. 21 meeting approved a three-year contract worth $12 million with Wondries Fleet Group through the city's existing contract.

This fiscal year, the airport will purchase 15 F-250 trucks and 48 patrol vehicles, replacing the fleet's patrol sedans and SUVs with Police Interceptors. Over the next three years, the police division plans to replace sedans, SUVs, passenger vans, and patrol vans.
