Montgomery County (Ohio) has opened a new compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station. This is the third CNG station in the Dayton area, and is expected to save the county nearly $150,000 per year in fuel costs.

The Moraine facility is open for public use but will also fuel some county vehicles, including much its solid waste services fleet at a discounted price. ISG CNG will handle operations for the new facility.

Montgomery County's solid waste services division currently owns seven CNG tractor trailers and one CNG pickup, and plans to continue converting its aging fleet to CNG over the next eight months.
