Terex South Dakota is recalling 33 2007-2013 model-year TLM37, TLM40, TLM41 and TLM50 aerial devices because of potential aerial pedestal failure, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported.

The aerial devices were manufactured from March 29, 2007, to Jan. 31, 2013. They have the pedestal attached to lift turrets that may crack because of missing reinforcements.

Cracks, if not repaired, may result in the failure of the aerial pedestal, increasing the risk of injury to the operator or those nearby,” NHTSA said on its website.

Terex dealers will install reinforcement plates on the pedestal, free of charge. Aerial device owners can reach Terex customer service at (800) 982-8975. Terex’s number for this recall is SN622.
