A City of Richmond, Ky., has fired a Public Works employee charged with theft for using the city’s fleet card to fuel his personal vehicle. The city commission unanimously voted to fire the employee, William Settle, on Aug. 11, according to the Richmond Register.

Another Public Works employee saw him put gas into his personal vehicle at the city supplier pumps and informed the police, KYTV reported. Settle later admitted using the city fuel card multiple times over the past year to put gas in his personal vehicle.
