Collective Data, Inc., has launched its collectiveGov asset management software to meet the needs of public sector fleet operations. The system brings together a comprehensive set of government-focused features as well as maintaining the flexibility in how the software can be configured, according to the company.

The collectiveGov software system goes beyond the managing of rolling stock. It’s designed to make it easy to attach and manage the different assets that are associated with other assets, such as those placed within police and fire units. Each department is able to manage its equipment its own way, while the data works together with other departments' data for high-level reporting and management.

Some of the government-focused feature sets in the new product include: independent tracking of locations and departments, asset replacement forecasting, physical location and mapping, easy exporting of work order data to be used by accounting systems, cost center management, flat rates for services, and the tracking of exempt and non-exempt license plates.
