The Ram Truck brand has unveiled a Texas Ranger concept truck that pays homage to the legacy of the iconic law enforcement agency.

The Ram Texas Ranger is a two-tone 1500 Laramie Longhorn (bright white and silver metallic) that incorporates the Lone Star Ranger badge and Mexican five-peso coins used to produce the first agency badges in 1947 and 1948.

The truck includes several star-and-wheel badges as large five-pointed aluminum emblems mounted to the front driver and passenger-side fenders. A third badge adorns the trick's tailgate. each of the 20-inch wheels gets a milled aluminum center cap.

The interior features etched Canyon Brown and tan leather and four Mexican five-peso silver coins inlaid within the wooden portions of the door bolsters.

The concept truck will tour Texas to build awareness for the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame and Museum, according to Ram. Texas continues to lead the nation in pickup truck usage with 20 percent of vehicle registrations compared to the 12 percent national average.
