Western Star, a Daimler-owned truck brand, showed a trio of heavy trucks at the NTEA's Work Truck Show that can "tackle the rigors of off-road and vocational applications," according to a release.

Western Star brought its 4700SB, 4800SB, and 4900SF to Indianapolis to demonstrate uses for the Class 8 trucks such as construction, dump, municipal and oilfield. Western Star's "Get Tough" booth was part of the show in Indianpolis.

The 4700SB dump truck and 4800SB cable hoist truck were equipped with a Detroit DD13 engine and Allison 4500 Rugged Duty Series (RDS) transmission. The 4900SF lube truck was equipped with a Detroit DD15 TC engine and an Eaton Fuller transmission.
