The American Public Works Association (APWA) announced that two public works fleet professionals have earned the Certified Public Fleet Professional (CPFP) credential that's given to seasoned, government public fleet managers, and to those professionals who supervise, manage, oversee, or administer fleet services for a public fleet entity.

The APWA has certified 95 Certified Public Fleet Professionals in North America. The most recent CPFPs who attained the credential as of June include Ken Crowley, CPFP, Village of Oak Park, Ill., and Craig Steingraeber, CPFP, of Columbia County, Wis.

"The APWA CPFP certification is a hallmark of excellence," said Peter King, APWA's executive director. "The purpose of APWA's Public Fleet Professional Certification is to promote excellence in fleet management by advancing the knowledge and practice of public fleet professionals to benefit communities through quality fleet services."
