Sponsored by the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA), the Public Fleet Hall of Fame will be established in 2014 with 10 founding Hall of Fame members. Eligible nominees must have at least 20 years of experience in the public fleet management profession. Honorees will be chosen by a combination of industry professionals via an online ballot and Government Fleet staff.

In 2015, eight veterans will be inducted, followed by six in 2016, four in 2017, and three in 2018. Thereafter, three honorees will be inducted in the Fleet Hall of Fame annually. Of the 10 inductees, one exceptional fleet professional will be chosen to receive the Legendary Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is also sponsored by NJPA.

The recipients of these awards will be recognized during the Honors Celebration at the Government Fleet Expo & Conference (GFX), which will take place in San Diego from June 2-4.
