Utility Employees Found Using Fleet Vehicles for Personal Use

Several San Diego utility workers used fleet vehicles for personal use, according to a new report from the City Auditor's office. The investigation began after the Office of the City Auditor received two anonymous reports that a Public Utilities Department employee was using a city vehicle for personal purposes.

Sonoma County Opens Fleet Facility

Sonoma County, Calif., has unveiled a $6.4 million Fleet and Materials Lab Facility. The 21,000-ft. facility houses the county's General Services Fleet Operation Division and Transportation and Public Works Materials Lab and will be used to service vehicle and equipment for Sonoma County and other jurisdictions.

Minn. Fleet Facility Catches Fire

Part of the Lake County, Minn., Highway Department shop burned last week after a plow truck parked in a bay caught fire. Some snow plows, heavy equipment, and parts of the facility will need to be replaced.
