Detroit Files for Chapter 9 Bankruptcy Protection

Michigan’s Governor Rick Snyder authorized the City of Detroit’s emergency manager Kevyn Orr to seek federal bankruptcy protection for the City. Orr filed for Chapter 9 bankruptcy protection after receiving authorization, according to the governor's office.

New City of Brookhaven Unveils Its First Fleet of Police Cars

The City of Brookhaven, Ga., unveiled its first fleet of 57 police cars - 46 Ford Police Interceptors, three Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicles, seven Chevrolet Impalas, and one Chevrolet Caprice. The new city, previously an unincorporated area in DeKalb County, was formed in December 2012.
