Ford Offers InterMotive's In-Vehicle Warning System for Officers in Police Interceptors

Ford collaborated with a company called InterMotive Inc. to develop a new technology that the company is calling “surveillance mode,” which is designed to help reduce the risk of individuals approaching a Ford Police Interceptor from behind the vehicle without the officer being aware.

San Jose State University in San Jose, Calif., has purchased two new electric motorcycles from a company called Zero Motorcycles for its fleet of police patrol vehicles.

New City of Brookhaven Unveils Its First Fleet of Police Cars

The City of Brookhaven, Ga., unveiled its first fleet of 57 police cars - 46 Ford Police Interceptors, three Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicles, seven Chevrolet Impalas, and one Chevrolet Caprice. The new city, previously an unincorporated area in DeKalb County, was formed in December 2012.

Long Beach, Calif., Audit Finds City Needs to Update Fuel Management System

City management agreed with the audit’s findings and plans to upgrade the City’s fuel management system, which the City began using in 1997.
