AUSTIN, TX – The Railroad Commission of Texas expanded a propane-fuel vehicle grant to include natural gas vehicles. The Commission has about $700,000 available in grants to help public fleets purchase natural gas vehicles.

City of Greer Begins Natural Gas Vehicle Conversions

GREER, SC - Last week, the City of Greer unveiled two new vehicles, a Ford Fusion and Ford F-150, that had been converted to run on natural gas. Greer has set a goal of converting at least 15 percent of the City's fleet to operate on natural gas by 2020.

Legislation Extends Alt-Fuel Incentives

WASHINGTON - The Middle Class Tax Relief Act of 2010 (HR 4853), passed by Congress and signed into law by President Obama on Dec. 17, includes extensions of two key incentives for natural gas vehicles. In addition, the law extends the ethanol tax credit through 2011, and retroactively extends the biodiesel tax incentive and the renewable diesel incentive through 2011.
