Zero Motorcycles is offering three new fleet motorcycles for the 2014 model year, the company announced this week.

The company will offer the Zero SP, Zero DSP, and a military spec motorcycle for special forces operators.

Zero Motorcycles has extended the range of its electric motorcycles for the 2014 model year to allow riders to travel up to 171 miles in the city or 88 miles on the highway. Zero's "power tank," which retails for $2,495, can be added to any Zero S or Zero DS model to extend its range.

Several northern California law enforcement agencies are using the police DS for patrol and the Los Angeles Police Department is testing the electric cycle.
