Texas Sheriff Utilizes Driving Simulator

November 15, 2017

The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office in Texas implemented a driving simulator to ensure its deputies are ready for the road, Lubbock Online reported.

The sheriff’s office signed up for training through the Texas Association of Counties, which offers truck and law enforcement driver simulation training for member agencies. Deputies attended two hours of classroom training in addition to the simulation, which was conducted in a high-tech trailer filled with monitors and a driver’s seat.
