A train struck a City of Charleston, W.Va., work truck early Wednesday as city workers attempted to cross the tracks to pick up garbage, reports WSAZ.

A city worker with the city's Street Department was injured in the 7:30 a.m. collision at 12th Street and MacCorkle Avenue. A second employee was unhurt. The truck's driver said he didn't see the train of hear any horn warning him.
