A University of Missouri researcher has developed a mobile app that helps prevent deaths caused by heavy equipment accidents.
The new VRPETERS (Vehicle Rollover Prevention Education Training Emergency Reporting System) app uses the sensors and GPS capability of smartphones to quickly summon medical assistance for the operator.
The app was developed by A. Bulent Koc, an assistant professor of agicultural systems management, and is waiting for a distributor, reports American Cranes & Transport magazine.
