North Dakota DOT Using Email and Text Message System to Promote Fleet Auctions

February 28, 2013

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) has created a new smartphone app and is using an email and text message service, both of which are designed to keep citizens informed about the DOT’s operations.

The email and text message service is called GovDelivery, and through it citizens can subscribe to receive notifications about State fleet vehicle auctions, road conditions, public events, and other information. The smartphone app gives users access to NDDOT’s Travel Information on a smartphone or tablet device (such as an iPad).

You can find out more about how NDDOT is using GovDelivery on the organization's website here.
