The City of Florence, Ala., is leasing two fire trucks for at least two months to alleviate maintenance problems within its fire fleet. Staff members have been working overtime to get downed fire trucks back up and running, as at least one fire station was empty for the past two weeks while firefighters waited on trucks, WAFF reported.

Some of the seven fire trucks are 18 to 20 years old. The city plans to order two brand new trucks, a pumper and a ladder truck, next month, but they won’t arrive for another year.
