The Rocky Mountain Fleet Management Association (RMFMA) has changed its name to Fleet Professional Association (FleetPros) and released a new logo. The group’s Board of Directors announced the new branding and logo at Fleetcon 2016, which took place Sept. 12-15 in Frisco, Texas.

FleetPros is a 40-year-old non-profit fleet industry association that supports fleet professionals through education, networking, and resources.

The change reflects the group’s desire to move to the national level while maintaining the power of its regional chapters. It has already reached beyond the Rocky Mountain states and continues its upward growth, according to the group. Current chapters are located in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Texas, and Utah.

“The job wasn’t to change who we are; changing the name of RMFMA to Fleet Professional Association (FleetPros) will not change the core of our mission, either in our chapters or association-wide, but instead strengthen our position on the importance of education for all professionals currently, or soon to be, in the fleet industry,” said Shawna Laird, RMFMA’s business manager. “The focus is to keep the elements of RMFMA that our members have honored for the last 40 years and make a bold, modern expression of our future.”

The board and marketing committee did comprehensive research to determine how best to create the new look. The new logo features a road leading upward, representing fleet members moving forward in their operations and careers.
