2009 Fleet Professional of the Year: Nat Matsuda, Administrator, Maricopa County, AZ
Nat Matsuda is the Administrator for the Equipment Services Division of Maricopa County, Arizona and has been a member of the Arizona Chapter for four years. Nat started his career as a mechanic in the U.S. Air Force and has worked his way up the ladder to his present position of Administrator. Since Nat has been the Administrator of Equipment Services, the department has achieved a 98% satisfaction rating for the last 3 fiscal years, and a 100% satisfaction rating for the last 2 fiscal years. One of Nat's passions is to have a complete Green shop. It has taken years to get it running, but in spite of political times and budgeting issues, Nat has convinced Management at the highest levels, that having a Green shop will require additional funds in our budget, will become cost effective in the long run, and will set a standard for other fleets to look upon and follow.
