The Fleet Service Division of Madison, Wis., launched an apprenticeship program to teach automotive skills to high school students, reported the Wisconsin State Journal.

The apprenticeship program is part of an effort from the Fleet Service Division to replenish a large number of retiring workers and meet the demand from changing technology. Students in the program work with technicians at the division's central repair shop to inspect and repair vehicles in the city's police, parks, engineering, and fire department fleets.
