Utah County Opens $9.4M Fleet Facility

December 03, 2014

Salt Lake County in Utah has opened a new $9.4 million, 22-bay heavy-duty fleet maintenance shop. The shop has 31-foot ceilings, natural lighting, and energy-efficient features, reports the Salt Lake Tribune.

The maintenance shop will be used on the city’s fleet vehicles as well as contracted work from nearby agencies. Contract work allowed the county to add a swing shift to the shop to accelerate repairs, Fleet Management Director Greg Nuzman told the newspaper.
