The City of New Braunfels (Texas) Fleet Services division of Public Works has earned the Blue Seal recognition from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

To become eligible for the Blue Seal of Excellence, a maintenance shop must have 75% of its automotive professionals ASE certified and a certified technician in each area of service offered. The City maintenance shop offers 16 areas of service. Fleet Manager Jon Pilgrim is certified as a master technician, and five technicians are certified in various disciplines.

The division currently provides a variety of repair and maintenance services to more than 370 fleet vehicles and pieces of equipment, from complete brake replacement and oil changes to in-depth operating system diagnosis and repair.

The division performs an average of 41 scheduled services and 24 unscheduled repairs per week.

The City of New Braunfels is one of 12 municipal maintenance shops in Texas that have received the ASE Blue Seal recognition.
