Following a successful inaugural Public Fleet Summit in the Northwest, the Government Solutions Team (GST) and Government Fleet will host a second Public Fleet Summit (PFS) in Minneapolis. The event will take place Oct. 9-10.

Public Fleet Summits are regional education and networking events that will take place around the country. The summits address the need for high-quality professional fleet and facilities training while recognizing that budget restrictions are making travel difficult for many. The two-day summits, designed for fleet and facilities managers, provide education and networking opportunities and introduce participants to industry leaders, cutting-edge technologies, and industry best practices.

The Minneapolis PFS will feature Bob Stanton, retired assistant director - Building and Equipment Services – Fleet, City of San Antonio, who will present the keynote address on leadership in public service. Additional speakers include Kathy Merrill, president of Agilency, on change management; Doug Dunlap, president of Syn-Tech, on ROI for fleet projects; Sam Lamerato, superintendent of fleet maintenance, City of Troy, Mich., on insourcing; John Hunt, fleet manager, City of Portland, Ore., on skills for today’s fleet managers; and Dave Seavey, retired fleet management director, City of Seattle, on industry best practices.

The summit will take place at the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest. Special room rates are available for attendees. To register, or for more information, visit the GST website.
