FORT MYERS, FL - Due to fleet budget reductions and the re-negotiation of vendor contracts, Lee County Fleet Management was able to reduce some costs to County departments for equipment parts and vendor repairs, according to the Fleet Management newsletter.

The hourly rate for technician labor per hour is about half of private sector hourly rates. Fleet management expects parts costs to reduce by 5-10 percent and vendor repair costs to reduce by about 10 percent. Many of the rate reductions were in place for October billing.
