Police Officers Protest Take-Home Fees by Parking Vehicles

CHATTANOOGA, TN - About three-fourths of City of Chattanooga police officers chose to park their vehicles at the police station rather than drive them home in response to new take-home fees that were implemented at the beginning of 2011.

Berlenbach Moves to City of Phoenix

Dan Berlenbach has been appointed equipment maintenance superintendent for the City of Phoenix's Equipment Management Division.

OXNARD, CA - Dan Berlenbach, fleet services manager for the City of Oxnard, has been appointed equipment maintenance superintendent for the City of Phoenix's Equipment Management Division. He will be replacing James Moody, who retired in 2010.

Chattanooga Considers Fees for Take-Home Cars

CHATTANOOGA, TN - The debate over take-home cars for Chattanooga employees — especially police officers — ranges from adding take-home cars to the fleet to getting rid of the take-home cars altogether to charging employees for using them. City Council requested in early July that the mayor’s office and finance department study a recurring or mileage-based user fee for city employees who use take-home cars.

OXNARD, CA - After testing a new eco-friendly oil filter product for a year, the City of Oxnard will extend its fleet vehicle oil drain interviews, producing an estimated $145,000 in oil and labor savings and an annual reduction of 24,000 quarts of oil.
