McLeod County to Save $75K by Lowering Mileage Reimbursement

May 21, 2009

GLENCOE, MN – By following its budget committee's recommendation to lower mileage reimbursement to 30 cents per mile for the rest of the year, the McLeod County Board of Commissioners will help save the county an estimated $75,000 by the end of the year, according to the McLeod County Chronicle.

The county's fleet of vehicles is not being efficiently used by staff, according to county officials, and employees must be encouraged to use county vehicles rather than their personal vehicles.
