A140 Rugged Tablet

Getac

August 9, 2017 - Products

The Getac A140 fully rugged tablet is the largest, most secure tablet ever produced by Getac. It is equipped with a 14-inch sunlight-readable display, available Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, dual hot-swappable batteries for continuous use, and a suite of security features.

The A140's large, sunlight-readable HD display incorporates Getac’s LumiBond 2.0 touchscreen technology, which uses an optically clear resin to bond the display glass to the touch panel and LCD to create a single durable panel. It also supports touch/rain, glove and pen touch modes and includes a hard-tip stylus for use in a variety of extreme conditions.

The tablet comes with options such as a full HD webcam for crystal-clear video conferencing, an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash for crisp images and video, and 4G LTE wireless for reliable connectivity. An optional slim-profile vehicle dock maximizes cab space and allows tri-pass-through antenna ports to simultaneously connect to high-gain WWAN, WLAN and roof-mounted GPS antennas.

Security features include TPM 2.0, which monitors and protects system start-ups by ensuring the device is tamper-free before releasing control to the operating system. Optional Absolute DDS allows the user to remotely disable the system if it is ever lost or stolen. Multifactor authentication options, including fingerprint, RFID or SmartCard readers, allow users to take full advantage of Microsoft Windows 10 identity and access control features, including Windows Hello, Microsoft Passport and Credential Guard.

The A140 is backed by Getac’s three-year bumper-to-bumper warranty that includes accidental damage and environmental exposure.
