Mass. PD's New Wraps Reduce Police Vehicle Costs

June 28, 2017

The Cohasset (Mass.) Police Department is transitioning to decal wraps on police vehicles instead of a custom paint job, reducing vehicle costs by as much as $3,000 per car, Wicked Local reported.

In the past, vehicles would be painted with custom blue, silver, and white markings. Wraps are less expensive than painting, and easy to remove when vehicles are repurposed.

The city is transitioning to the Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicle.
