Five Ohio agencies will participate in a study conducted by Clean Fuels Ohio to analyze its existing vehicles and utilization rates, as well as available fuels and what they cost.

Lima Mayor David Berger told Your News Now that the city hopes to use the results of the study to map out a capital spending plan that allows them to adapt to the best available technology, save money, improve environment, and increase efficiency.

The Ohio Department of Transportation District One, Lima City Schools, the Lima-Allen County Regional Planning Commission, West Ohio Community Action Partnership, and the Lima Allen County Regional Transportation Authority will combine fleet data in an effort to save money and help the environment.

Chris Hardesty from Ohio Department of Transportation District One also noted the possibility of partnering with these fleets for a centralized fueling station.
