Norwich (Conn.) Public Utilities has opened its second compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling facility that will be used for municipal fleet vehicles and businesses, the Norwich Bulletin reported.

The $1.8 million station has one dual-hose dispenser and sells CNG for 10 to 75 cents less per gallon than diesel and 20 cents less per gallon than gasoline.

The utility has 42 CNG vehicles.
