The City of Dallas is continuing its transition to a greener fleet with the recent purchase of 99 compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks and vans.
These vehicles being purchased are 65 Ford F-150 trucks, four F-250 trucks, and 30 E-250 vans. These units will be used by various core departments providing field services to the public, such as Code Compliance, Street Services, Dallas Water Utilities, Public Works, Park and Recreation, Police, and Building Services, Cheritta Johnson, Dallas' assistant director of Equipment Services, told Government Fleet.
