The Colorado Energy Office and Garfield Clean Energy have partnered to launch Refuel Colorado Fleets, which is a pilot project designed to provide education to fleets interested in incorporating alternative-fuel vehicles into their operations. The pilot program will involve at least seven communities across Colorado, according to Garfield.

The Colorado Energy Office has contracted Clean Energy Economy for the Region (CLEER) to manage the Refuel Colorado Fleets program. CLEER will conduct training for community-based “energy coaches” who will handle outreach and educational efforts as part of the program. The program currently has $225,000 allocated to program development, training, and outreach in the communities that will be selected.
