AVON LAKE, OH – The City of Avon Lake is considering installing  a propane fueling station and converting its fleet vehicles to dual-fuel propane/gasoline, according to the Morning Journal.

A councilwoman presented the initiative to City Council, citing lower gasoline costs, decreased emissions in comparison to gasoline, and a zero-interest loan from the State for the initial investment. Avon Lake mayor Greg Zilka said he is looking for a commitment from neighboring communities to invest in the project by committing to convert vehicles to propane, according to the news source.
